About Me

About the Blogger

I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian. That's probably the most important thing about me.

I drink much tea.

I have spent a great deal of my life in Middle-earth.

After that, if someone was asking, I'd probably say I'm a writer. A big sister. A reader. A teenager.

I'm feeling my way through my writing, jumping genres every book, switching styles every blog post.

I used to read a lot. Then I stopped. I'm now rediscovering the joy of books and losing myself in fictional worlds. Reading is amazing, everyone.

I'm a part of a very big family. I've got four younger siblings, two of which are four year old twins. They're adorable. I'm the oldest at 16.

I'm homeschooled and love it! I attend classes at St. Raphael, an Orthodox online school, and do an amazing curriculum called the One Year Adventure Novel (OYAN) for my writing.

About the Blog

I started this blog for a variety of reasons. I was beginning to feel confined and restricted in my old blog, but, even more than that, I realized there was a great need for something for Orthodox Christian teens on the internet. I've looked. I've tried every google search I could think of. But, besides a small YouTube series (run by adults) and a three-years dead twitter account, there's nothing. And that needs to change. So, while I'll still fangirl over books and talk about writing some, I will focus quite a bit on writing about Orthodoxy for Orthodox teenagers. I'm still a teen myself. My writing's not the greatest. But with God's help I can do this.
Christ is Risen!

Come, my Light, and illumine my darkness.
Come, my Life, and revive me from death.
Come, my Physician, and heal my wounds.
Come, Flame of divine love, and burn up the thorns of my sins;
kindling my heart with the flame of Thy love.
Come my King, sit upon the throne of my heart and reign there.
For Thou alone art my King and my Lord.
