Writing Resources

Some really great writer resources:

Go Teen Writers
This is a blog that was started by Stephanie Morrill and Jill Williamson to encourage young writers. There are some fantastic blog posts on writing and publication there.

One Year Adventure Novel
OYAN is a writing curriculum started by Daniel Schwabaur (Mr. S) that teaches you how to write a novel in a year. There is a student forum for all who take the course, where teens can encourage each other, discuss their stories, critique each other's writing, and generally form long lasting relationships. There is also an annual writing workshop put on by them in Olathe, Kansas, were you can meet all your friends from the forum and learn a lot about the craft of writing. This curriculum, it's forum, and it's workshop changed my life.

Scattered Scribblings
There's lots of good posts on writing, here - it's one of my favorite blogs - but the "how to liven up your ___ character ones are really, really good.

NaNoWriMo
National Novel Writers Month - where writers around the world, during the month of November, sit down to write a 50k novel in 30 days. Much craziness ensues.

Kingdom Pen
A wonderful writing resource for Christians - there are a lot of great posts on writing as a Christian, incorporating Christian themes into your writing, and generally how to make your writing stronger. There are also book reviews and poetry and shorts stories and all sorts of fun stuff.
